5개월의 인턴십 구하기 종착점: Google
2016 Summer Google Internship! 2015년 9월 UCSD 석사 진학 후, 약 5개월 동안 인턴십을 구한 결과, 2016년 여름은 Google에서 인턴을 하게 되었다. 장장 5개월간 인턴십을 구하기 위해 한 일을 정리해보니: 25+ internship applications 15+ interviews (6 companies) 4 interviews on-site (Microsoft) 3 interviews on-campus (Microsoft, Yahoo) 8 phone screens (Apple, Google, Yelp, Amazon) 2 automatic computer-based interviews (Yelp, Amazon) others (host matching, recruiter talks, etc) 2 career fairs at UCSD (2015 Fall, 2016 Winter) etc (info-sessions, tech talks, calls/emails with team managers) Accepted: Google, Microsoft, Amazon 미국에 와서 최대한 많은 경험을 해보고 싶었는데, 되돌아보니 회사도 많이 지원하고 인터뷰도 많이 본 것 같아서 나름 뿌듯하다. 막판에 Google과 Microsoft사이에서 정말 많은 고민을 했지만 Google로 결정했다. 2016년 여름이 기대된다. 앞으로 천천히 지난 5개월간의 일/생각을 정리해봐야겠다.
